We provide specialist palliative care to patients suffering from terminal illness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

How many times have you complained about having a bad hair day? I know I have... so many times. Imagine, however, being told that you are going to lose your hair due to a serious illness and have no say in the matter. On top of that, losing hair may be the least of your worries.

People, including myself should really be thankful for having bad hair days because you never know what is around the corner.

Most people know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, or a terminal illness. In my personal and working life I have seen family, friends and clients face this terrifying ordeal.

Southern Area Hospice Services provide free care and support to such patients who live in the Southern Health Trust Area, as well as their families. They rely to a large extent on fundraising to provide these services.

I am getting my head shaved at a coffee morning in work on 23rd April 2015. The proceeds of my head shave will go entirely to the Southern Area Hospice Services. The money raised in the coffee morning will be split between Praxis Care, a charity that provides care to children and adults with learning disabilities, mental health problems, brain injuries and dementia and Southern Area Hospice Services.

Please dig deep for this wonderful charity.
