Story
On the 27/02/2019 Phill and Sam welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Polly into the world. Polly was born 12 weeks early at James Cook Hospital, with tough times ahead the family continued to visit her every day and each day we received updates on how she was getting stronger and stronger. Thanks to the hard work, love and support of the family, friends and the neonatal staff Polly was allowed to come home on the 24/04/2019.
To show our appreciation to the Neoangels and little Polly for being such a fighter we are going to hike the Yorkshire 3 peaks which will take us on a 26 mile hike around the Yorkshires Dales whilst climbing Whernside (736M), Ingleborough (724M) and Pen-Y-Gent (694M), the aim is for us all to complete this challenge within 12 hours despite our varying athletic abilities.
All donations made will be gratefully appreciated no matter how big/small. All proceeds will go towards supporting such a worthy cause allowing them to continue to help families in a similar position to Phill and Sam in the future.
Neoangels is dedicated to providing as much love, care and support as possible to our families, babies and staff on the Neonatal Unit at the University Hospital of North Tees. We ease the financial burden parents face by purchasing parking vouchers, helping with travel expenses and providing a hot meal in the hospital canteen daily for parents. We provide medical equipment, we have a specialist bereavement fund to look after families who lose their baby, we offer emotional support and we look after siblings too.
