We are giving up palm oil for November (and maybe longer if it goes  well) because the equivalent of 300 football pitches of rainforest an hour is destroyed in Southeast Asia, and 6,000 orangutans are killed each year - just so we can have palm oil in our food and toiletries. Until there is a system in place to show which products have good palm oil, it seems that the only way to be sure that we are not using dirty palm oil is to avoid it altogether. So no, Cadbury's, Mars, Mini Cheddars, Dove deodorant etc...

Please consider sponsoring us. All the money raised will go to the Rainforest Trust,  specifically towards a project based in Borneo to create a reserve for around 2,000 orangutans.

We don't want to see orangutans, or any other rainforest wildlife, become extinct - and we need rainforests to absorb carbon dioxide to help in the fight against climate change.
