Story

Thomas Theyer was just 18 when he died, out running in the hills around Buxton. His parents have set up the Thomas Theyer foundation to give access to the outdoors for young people who might not otherwise have the opportunity.

Their ethos is

The true essence of humankind is kindness.  There are other qualities which come from education or knowledge, but it is essential, if one wishes to be a genuine human being and impart satisfying meaning to one's existence, to have a good heart.

So I am going to run 5 Ultra-marathons in May, July August, September and October, of which the last 2 are 50 miles or more.

And the last one is at night.

If you could support me, then that would be great!

About the charity

We recognise the many benefits of physical exercise and strive to increase access to exercise, in particular outdoor activities, for children and young people with additional needs and also provide the opportunity for breaks for those children and their families/carers
