So, after my antics of 2017 in running 5 half marathons, I foolishly stated if I reached my target sponsorship then I would run a full marathon in 2018.....
2018 just so happened to be quite full on for myself so I have delayed my promise by a year, but I am a man of my word!
One of the main reasons for me being so busy in 2018 is also the reason for my choice in charity. On the 13th May 2018 my wife and I received the most amazing gift with the birth of our beautiful daughter. Without going into detail our little egg didn’t have the easiest start to life and without the amazing staff at the Wrexham Mealor... well I don’t want to think about what would have happened to my 2 girls.
After spending some time in the special care baby unit (SCBU) you quickly come to realise just how amazing all of the staff are and also what an amazing cause helps support the families of all the babies which are on the unit.
The help and support we received from all the staff is something we will always cherish (excuse the pun) and I would love to be able to give something back to the great cause that helps so many families.
