We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

On the 20th March I will be running the Fleet Half-Marathon in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund. The ABF aim to give support to serving soldiers and veterans who may need it after giving so much to our country. One such example is Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson:

"Ben has been described by medical experts as ‘the most wounded soldier to survive his injuries’, but his determination to recover has humbled and inspired everyone that’s met him.

A landmine explosion in Afghanistan meant he lost both his legs and suffered brain damage that left him unable to speak; something which he has now overcome.

We’ve given a grant to buy a high tech multi gym to allow him the chance to continue his physio at home. Determined Ben trains for at least three hours a day and four years on has managed to stand for the first time since his injury."

I'm aiming to raise £250 for this great cause so anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much
Pete
