We help children break the cycle of poverty to become self-sufficient

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

14 years ago, my brother, Paul, who was suffering from terminal cancer, said to me: “Pete, if there is anything you have always wanted to do and always put off until next week, month or year, do it NOW, or you could end up like me, with those things not done!”

I replied that I had always wanted to run a marathon! And, so, in 2005, in Paul’s memory, I did run a marathon, with my 3 son and 2 nieces! ….
But I didn’t stop! And on the 20th May, I am due to start (and hopefully finish) my 100th Marathon to go with more than 200 other races I have run over the intervening years!
This time, I will be running around Lake Windermere, again accompanied by my 3 sons plus Paul’s son, Andy who will be running his first, Leo Carne, Paul’s son-in-law and my great friend, Jorge!
As usual, I will be running for the superb charity that is CHRISTEL HOUSE and I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!
What’s more, I WILL MATCH EVERY PENNY you donate and hopefully give Christel House a big financial boost.
