Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Cancer doesn't just happen to other people, its indiscriminate !
In February 2018, my 24 year old, fit, young, healthy son was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. To describe it as a life changing bomb shell is an under statement. He was aware of the symptoms and reacted fast by seeing the GP immediately. Within a few weeks he had a scan, and the dreaded news that it was Cancer was confirmed. The tumour was removed a few days later and he is now well underway with his nine weeks of Chemotherapy.
Testicular Cancer affects young men and can be very treatable IF its picked up quickly, so I want to raise funds to increase awareness. This is just the start of our campaign, and we have had massive support from the local Bury St Edmunds rugby club, friends, players, committee and supporters who have given generously. The Bury Free Press also arranged great awareness which is invaluable. We have been overwhelmed with the offers to donate from elsewhere, so thank you so much, and on that basis, I am setting this up too. Some folk have offered to take up challenges and we will look at all options to see how much we can raise in the future.
