Story

**INJURY UPDATE!!** - Whilst training for the 3-Peaks Challenge, I developed Plantar Fasciitis in BOTH feet, and so have had to rethink my challenge! So, update - now swimming 5km a day for a week to try and cross the English Channel come November 2023!

Most of us take for granted the access we have to kick a ball around in a local league, or take a dip in a community pool.

We also don't realise how important these things are for not only our physical wellbeing but also our mental health. Having an outlet for the stresses and grinds of daily life, is something that should be afforded to every single person, young and old, throughout the world.

WWSET raises money to provide the young people of High Wycombe with the opportunity to make life changing habits through the availability of education programmes in schools, by forming football leagues for kids in high need areas, adding sessions for those with disabilities or starting the wide range of academies, after school clubs or searching for the next batch of talent in local schools and leagues.

As a season ticket holder of our local team Wycombe Wanderers I'm proud to witness how motivating and inspiring being part of such a strong crowd of supporters can be for the sea of kids in the family stand, of which my two young boys stand on their seats, screaming the chants and trying to get selfies with their favourite players. How lucky are we to have this on our doorstep.

It should be a fundamental right of kids across the country but I'm particularly passionate in ensuring sporting opportunities are available locally, close to home. As a qualified referee in a local kids football league and assisting at my boys school with their sporting tournaments, I'm already trying to ensure that community and school sport is at the forefront of my kids lives growing up - and if it aids their friends and our community along the way then I'm a happy man.

I have NEVER taken on a physical challenge and I've never raised money for charity before.

With a mammoth training plan in front of me and 7-days of grit and determination, I'll be tackling a minimum swim of 5km per day during 27th Nov - 3rd Dec 2023.

Please sponsor me, if not just to support the fantastic cause that is WWSET but then simply because its me doing three peaks and not you!

I'll update you along the way but please donate, wish me luck and get ready with that beer when its all over!
