Pharmacy Walking Challenge

Fundraising for Sherwood Forest Hospitals General Charitable Fund
£920
raised of £1,000 target
by 51 supporters
To provide enhanced ward facilities to enable staff to deliver high quality care for their patients in the last days of life. Providing emotional and practical support to carers and families at a difficult time.

Story

Please sponsor the Sherwood Forest Pharmacy team as we take
on the virtual challenge to walk from Lands’ End to John O’Groats as part of
National Walking month during the month of May.
This is a total distance of 837 miles.
If it goes well, we might attempt to get back again!  All the money raised will go to help support
the Trust’s End of Life campaign.

The Trust is aiming to raise £140K to enhance ward
facilities by adapting 16 single en suite rooms, one per ward, to enable both
the patient and their families to spend quality time together in their final
days or hours of life.    The rooms will be decorated to a high
standard – flooring, art work, comfortable seating and refreshment bay.   The rooms will be equipped with all the
required comforts and a volunteer will be on hand to provide additional
support.  Money raised will also go to
improving bereavement support for families.

We will be posting photos of the team getting out and about,
clocking up the steps towards our total.
You can follow our progress on the Just Giving page or Pharmacy twitter
page @SFHTPharmacy.

So please spare a few pounds and sponsor us to help reach
the Trust target.

Thank you from the Pharmacy Team.
