Story

I am running the 2022 London Marathon for the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust. This is a registered charity that aims to promote and improve the care of mothers, babies and families through awarding grants and fellowships in support of midwifery education, practice and research. Every woman needs a midwife when she is giving birth and The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust wants midwives to provide the best care they can. Midwives and students can find it hard to get funding for extra training or to carry out research to improve midwifery. That is why the trust gives out financial awards to enable midwives and student midwives to develop their practice or to improve local services. Many of the award winners aim to improve care for women and babies who are disadvantaged. You can read more about The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust awards at https://www.iolanthe.org/grants-awards/our-award-winners. Thank you for any support you can give!
