Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Philip Olleson and friends from Nottingham and further afield are meeting on the weekend of 21-22 July for a workshop to rehearse and perform two of the finest and best-loved works of the string orchestra repertoire: Dvorak's Serenade for Strings in E and Richard Strauss's Metamorphosen for 23 solo strings.

The workshop will be conducted by George Kennaway and led by Fiona Love. It will conclude with a performance of both works at 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 22 July at the Djanogly Recital Hall, University of Nottingham, NG7 2RD.

Admission is free, with a retiring collection for Jessie's Fund.

We hope to have a full house of friends and supporters, but for those who cannot be there in person, you can support Jessie's Fund by donating here. Please give generously!

About Jessie's Fund

Jessie’s Fund was set up in 1995 by musicians Alan George and Lesley Schatzberger in memory of their daughter Jessica, who had died the previous year of a rare and inoperable brain tumour.

It helps children with serious illness, complex needs, and communication difficulties through the therapeutic
use of music.
