Story
Most of you will know that we have supported Dogs for Good in different ways over several years. Also, we usually do some form of physical event for charity each year.
This year is obviously different for us, but I’m still keen to make a contribution. I am therefore planning on ticking an item off my bucket list whilst at the same time hopefully raising some much needed funds for this local charity.
On Thursday, 11th August in the afternoon, weather permitting, I will be pushed out - sorry, I mean I will be happily jumping out - of a plane, strapped to the lovely Geoff at Hinton Airfield.
If you can spare a few pennies for this incredibly worthwhile charity, I would be very grateful. We have seen how their dogs change lives and want to be able to see more happy clients.
Some words from the charity:
Dogs for Good believes in the power of dogs. Since 1988, Dogs for Good has been making life-changing differences for people with disabilities. The charity supports people with complex needs including physical disabilities, autism, dementia and learning disabilities enabling them to lead more independent lives through the help of trained dogs. They receive over 5,000 enquiries a year and it costs more than £22,000 to train and support each assistance dog. With your sponsorship, they can create more life-changing partnerships. Thank you.
