We provide neonatal family support to alleviate stress and improve wellbeing

Story

Phoebe Hope was born at 24+5weeks via emergency c-section, changing our lives forever, due to me (her mummy) loosing my waters at 23 weeks and then proceeding onto hemorrhage on the 30/08/2016.

Phoebe was delivered at 20:14 on the 30th August 2016, weighing a tiny 1lb8oz. She was rushed straight to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in Oldham Royal and put on life support. For the first 4 days Phoebe was stable and seemed well for a baby her size and gestation. However as time went on, Phoebe started to deteriorate needing increased treatment for infections and treatment for her blood gases, and phoebes lungs and other organs were just not developed enough to keep fighting. Phoebe also suffered a small bleed on the brain. Unfortunately there was nothing else the doctors and nurses could do to keep Phoebe alive and therefore the decision was made to turn off her life support to give Phoebe the rest and peace she deserved. Phoebe passed away peacefully in my arms at 6:30am on 06/09/2016.

At Phoebes funeral we asked for donations for the charity SPOONS, as they help to provide and improve family services to parents on the NICU at Oldham Royal and also provide essential equipment for the unit. I know that a number of people who didn't come to the funeral wanted to donate, therefore I have set up this page in order to do that. This is now a charity very close to my heart and I would like to be able to increase the donations raised in memory of my precious baby girl, Phoebe.
