Story
I ran last years London Marathon for my friends Wife, Elizabeth Wenborn who was attending Saint Francis Hospice. Tragically, she lost her battle with cancer, 2 days before the race. This years Marathon will be on the 24th of April, which will be a year to the day since her passing. I initially said I would never run it again (I actually used more colourful language at the time) but a week later I decided to enter the ballot, like I had done so many times before but had never got in. As you've guessed, I finally got my spot on the ballot.......so I get another crack at it and didn't hesitate to speak to Saint Francis Hospice to ask to run on their behalf. Whilst I'm fully aware last years huge total was a result of exceptional circumstances, I'll still give it a shot and see if we can raise a decent amount in memory of Liz and for the wonderful work the Hospice does.
Thanks in advance for the donations and for your support.
