This is the first time I participate in the Swimathon and I’m doing the big one! 5K on Friday, repeat Saturday, repeat Sunday. A familiar feeling after years of training (double that I should add but I wasn’t 50 then...). I have chosen a girls’ charity because the screaming feminist inside me would not have it other way. My dad always told me ‘don’t let people tell you what you can do or not based in your gender’ and I have lived by it. Women have always the tougher side wherever and whatever circumstances. We have to keep on working to readdress the balance. Help me to help the sisterhood!
