Story
For some crazy reason I've said I'll do an abseil. I am absolutely terrified and the only thing that's going to get me to lean backwards and lower myself over the side of, what is quite frankly, a very, very high building, is the thought that I am hopefully going to raise lots of money for Two's Company.
Two's Company is Life Cycle's tandem project for people of all ages who are visually impaired or have another disability which means they can't ride a bike independently. I can hop on my bike whenever I like - I take it for granted. But Two's Company participants can't just go for a ride when they feel like it. And without the project they would never be able to.
Two's Company organises an annual programme of tandem cycle rides. Volutneers ride on the front and visually impaired or disabled people come on the back. Its great exercise - they have to pedal(!) - as well as being good fun and an opportunity to do something different and meet new people.
I could go on and on telling you how wonderful Two's Company is, but I wont - if you want to read more visit Life Cycle's website. In the meantime, help me get over the side of that building by making it worth my while - dig deep please.
