We fund much-needed equipment to improve the lives of disabled children

Story

The Challenge

Mud Sweat and Tears will probably be one of the toughest
events we will ever take part in and will test us to the limit. We’ll be racing
100km from Devils Dyke to Winchester via the South Downs Way. Running, walking even
crawling to the finish as fast as we can.

ELIFAR- Every Life is for a Reason

The Elifar Foundation is a small charity which aims to help improve the care, facilities and equipment available to profoundly disabled children and young adults both at home or in residential care.

They fund the purchase of a wide range of highly specialised equipment, which would otherwise be unavailable because of a lack of funds or because there is no statutory provision. The Elifar Foundation is run almost entirely by volunteers which means that a large proportion of the funds raised go directly to the people who need them.

Our colleagues taking on the challenge are:- Alex Fernandez, Alex Moore, Ed O'Hanrahan, Michael Simms, Jamie Williams, Freddie Moore, Ben Waddilove, Simon Chevis, Jill Johnstone, Nathan Wakelam, Jeremy Wright, Antony Storey, Daniel Williams, Alex Ashman and Ruth Rigden.

About the charity

Elifar aims to help improve the quality of life of disabled children and adults by making grants for specialised equipment which cannot be funded by statutory means.
