Message from Qasim…

Favourite little things...raising money for !

‘ello big people,

My name is Qasim Ali Khan. I'm two and a half years old and hail from .  I may be a little person but I have loads of favourite things...I like the colour red just like my mummy, picture books, cars, especially my daddy’s car and Rumi the cat.  I also like chicken and cocolates (not chocolates) but I don’t like ‘em at the same time as that is not good for my little tummy. I always find cocolates in my uncle’s pockets and under his bed where he likes to hide them from me. Roary the Racing Car is my favourite ever telly show. I love my nano (grandma) because I’m her favouritist person in the world and she never tells me off for snapping her glasses, breaking her ornaments and messing up her living room :-)

Altho I’m little, I’m gonna put my atletic abilities to bestest use. I’m gonna walk a BIG distance of 1km!!! Wow, that is amazin and I am gonna do it all for myself- oh sowwy- for charity. You see, just like me, there are other little people in the world in a place called and my little aunty Sadia tells me that just like me they also have favourite little things but sadly their favourite things were taken away from them. I wanna help them get all those things back and I wanna help their families too. To do that you very nice big people have to help me in my mission and give me money (sponsor me) to walk that 1km on Saturday 27th March in the morning. I promise I’ll be there on time!!!

I reckon I can do this - no probs! So big people, pease (as my big aunty Nadia always tells me to say) donate generously!!!

Yours,

Little Qasim :-)

The earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale struck 15 km from the capital at 5pm. Many homes, government buildings, hotels and schools have collapsed. The hospitals have been overwhelmed with the large number of injured people and there is a shortage of medical supplies and basic necessities. Islamic Help moved swiftly with inland partners and to provide immediate first aid, food and shelter. We still need your help as the need for clean water, food and medical supplies continues.
