Qlik have organised a ride  500km from Lisbon to  Cape St Vincent and then along the Algarve Coast . Participants include Joe Francis , Peter Grant and Gareth Davies from Qlik supplier CloudApps , Gaby Stevenson of Qlik partner KPMG and Paul Folland.   They are riding to raise money  for Medair who support vulnerable people around the globe.   Among the charity's many  current activities is a  program for Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. Please sponsor generously   £10 will pay for  a blanket to fend off the cold  as winter approaches,   £130 will  pay for a water tap   allowing far easier access to water and £420 will pay for a semi-permanent latrine helping to prevent the spread of disease.  

Update : They did hit ! All cyclists  completed the 250+ miles with over 15,000 feet of climbing , peddling  through  some fantastic  coastal and inland countryside .  They also had to contend with some significant rain as they tortured themselves climbing the Serra de Monchique but then it had to be a challenge !!  Thank you to all our generous sponsors. Qlik will double  the money and with  the addition of Gift on most of the pledges , Medair will receive approximately £22,000 .
