Story

We did it! Thanks again for your support!!!

Gy, Gabriella, Richard, Chris, Tom, and Richard (injured, but he run anyway ...)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We decided to run the London Asics 10k in January as an RBS Treasury/IR team to support a great charity, Mindfulness in School Project.

The race has been cancelled, but on 5th July, despite COVID-19, we will be virtually together, running from different locations.

Some of us normally run very little, so 10k is a very big challenge and involves a lot for prep time, for others the challenge is to run it as fast as possible and set a new PB.

MiSP brings mindfulness to our schools so we can achieve a culture shift in our approach to young people's mental health and wellbeing. Their activity is even more important following the Covid pandemic, which is affecting many people quite significantly.  MiSP is currently delivering their programme online, while restrictions are still in place in the UK.

Mindfulness develops the whole brain and helps children/teenagers understand their emotions and feelings, reducing the risk of issues such as anxiety and depression. Practicing mindfulness helps them to notice the positives and develop a sense of appreciation, gratitude and contentment. All of that equals happiness!

Thank you in advance for your support!  (https://mindfulnessinschools.org/about)
