Story

As Royal Warrant Holders, we are honoured to have an opportunity to take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for QEST.  Not a single one of us has ever attempted such a long run before (10K is our limit; at a push!) so this is going to be quite a challenge.

As RG Jones enters its 94th year, we look back at years of extraordinary engineers who have been trained at the company straight out of school - some of whom are now considered the very best in the industry.  QEST funds the training and education of talented and aspiring craftspeople, helping to sustain Britain's cultural heritage by supporting excellence in British Craftsmanship. Over the past 29 years, QEST has awarded £4.3 million to just over 500 craftspeople of all ages and backgrounds, in at least 130 skills sectors, enabling them to undertake training through traditional college courses, vocational training, apprenticeships, or one on one training with a master maker. Almost 90% of QEST Alumni are still working in their craft today many also acknowledged leaders in their field and passing on their skills to the next generation.

Please help us raise money to fund more scholars and apprentices. For more information, please click on www.qest.org.uk
