We research early diagnosis and treatments to beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

4 Dad's from Knowle Primary School have decided to do something pretty daft; run 100km (62 miles) in one day as part of "Race to the Stones" on July 16th 2016!!

The aim is to raise some money for a charity very close to our children and their school year - "Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund".

The team is Nick Ager, Kevin Justice, Chris Thorley & Al Tyson and although we all have sporting backgrounds only one of us has ever run a marathon before.

We have set ourselves a pretty big challenge to raise £100 per mile (£6200) and we will be setting up a few fundraisers in the build up to the race.

If you are able to donate anything to this fantastic cause then we would be extremely grateful and it will motivate us during our tough training and spending hours upon hours plodding the roads.

Thank you.

Dad's Army (Nick, Kev, Chris and Al).

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.
