Story

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for visiting our Just-Giving page.

Hello, we are Sue, Rachael and Niamh and we are cycling from Milan to Venice in May 2020 to raise money for Women vs Cancer. This charity helps thousands of people in the UK who are sadly affected by cancer; they fund research into developing effective treatment and cures for cancer.

We have all be affected by cancer in some way or another. However, this challenge came around just at the right time. In 2018 Niamh was diagnosed, at the age of 13, with malignant melanoma - a type of skin cancer. Then we decided we needed to do something to raise money for cancer to make it easier for anyone having to experience it. We now never take a single day for granted and want to do all we possibly can to raise money to help others going through the same thing.

All three of us felt this was an ideal mental and physical challenge and the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and funds to support this vital charity. The first challenge will be cycling between 120km-140km each day but the second, and the most challenging, will be reaching our fundraising target.  We are all paying the cost of our entry fee, our travel fee and lots of padded shorts ourselves!

Please remember we are doing this for you. 1 in 2 of us will be directly affected by cancer in our lifetime.

Thank you very much for any donations you are able to give.

Lots of love

Sue, Rachael and Niamh
