HHA are tackling poverty through improving access to healthcare for some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. In Haiti, we founded and support a leading community hospital with a focus on maternal, infant and disability care for who who need it without discrimination. HHA now also work in East Africa with the most vulnerable South Sudanese refugees now living in Ugandan settlements.

I have been volunteering  with HHA for the last four  years, spending 3 months out in Haiti in 2018 working with the hospital to improve their water, sanitation, hygiene and solid waste management. I have been in regular contact since, and have worked to provide guidance on future management of water and sanitation, with a follow up visit in 2020, which focussed on helping to prepare the hospital for Covid.
