As I am going to be 40 at my next birthday I have decided to set myself some challenges. Things I have never done before and never would have thought I could!

I am going to run in the Cardiff 10k for the charity Bluebell, which is based in Bristol. Following the birth of my first two babies I suffered from severe post natal depression. I attended a course with Bluebell which I believe was a key part to my recovery. I wasn't going to ask for sponsorship for this race as I was entering it as a personal challenge for myself. However after a few people asked if they could sponsor me Bluebell immediately came to my mind. 

As many of you who know me now, with a third child who is rising two years old, you would never realise how totally dark and dreadful my first few years of motherhood were. I'm still side swiped by anxiety every now and again but the tools I learnt from Bluebell have helped me and us as a whole family, forge a different path this time round.

I have learnt self care is essential, I am able to laugh, love and enjoy my family and feel welcome in the community around me, my family, friends neighbours and church. 

Thank you for standing with me. I want to raise money to give to Bluebell to help them to continue the amazing work they do supporting families during pregnancy and beyond. I want other women to know they are not alone and there is hope.
