As you will probably know I was due to spend 8 weeks with IcFEM in rural Kenya this Summer. I am gutted that I don't know when or even if this will be possible this Summer. To do something positive with this situation I have committed to walk 10000 steps every day for 18 days. 

10000 steps is a real challenge for me, during lockdown I am averaging under 2000 steps a day. I have chosen 18 days to represent each staff member at IcFEM Headquarters without a salary. £3600 will pay every staff member 1 month's salary.

Food prices have increased dramatically and with children home from school there are more mouths at home to feed. Without their salary things will become very desperate. 

I have been visiting IcFEM in rural Kenya every year since I was 11 years old (I am now 18). From a young age I have felt called by God to be a missionary, each year I have gained valuable experience with IcFEM.  I teach in the mission primary school and nursery, I do school assembles and Sunday school, speak at conferences and in church services. I start Uni in September to do Primary Teaching with a plan to move to serve with IcFEM permanently after graduation. 

As this Summer would have been my 8th year with them, these staff are very dear to me, I know just how far this money could go to make such a difference. If you could give I would be very grateful, please gift aid if that is possible. Thank you!

I was inspired and humbled by the dedication and sheer hard work of everyone I met in what is a very challenging environment.
