Story
Its just over a year since I got the bug whilst abseiling the Avon Gorge in Bristol - and I'm at it again. This time I plan to lead a team of about 10 people in a 320 metre Zip Slide at South Shields, near Newcastle on 8th May. Christians Against Poverty is the charity I work for in Morpeth and the surrounding area. Its been so good to see people locally discover new hope and freedom from debt and financial fears over the past year and to see lives really transformed. We can't do the work without the support from the national team at our Bradford HQ and the charity is totally reliant on gifts to maintain and build its work. I was hugely inspired watching a woman of about 80 abseil the Gorge last year - I'm only 50 (just!) but am up for more scare and thrill doing this Zip slide..... I'll do what I can - will you do what you can to support Christians Against Poverty through me?
Thanks so much.
