We are a volunteer search & rescue team to assist those lost/injured on the fells

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I met Linda on a winter skills course run by Lakeland Mountain Guides when recovering from neurosurgery on my cervical spine. We both love the fells, swimming in lakes and tarns, camping, cycling and having fun in the Great Outdoors. She's the sociable one and I'm the one who glares. You don't have to be up a remote mountain to need Penrith Mountain Rescue Team. They cover the biggest area in Cumbria and help rescue ambulances stuck in snow, help search for missing vulnerable people and assist people in difficulty in Coombe woods Armathwaite, Gelt Woods, Dalston andTalkin Tarn. They provided invaluable support in Carlisle floods. They're still out there doing their stuff but due to Covid 19 Lockdowns it's been hard to help them. We're riding to raise funds to keep them doing what they do so well

About the charity
