Myself and a few friends and family are going to take part in a 5k Mud Run in March 2018. Anyone who knows me well will understand how far out of my comfort zone this will take me......I hate mud and I am not keen on running either!!!!! 

We are doing this as this is what my Husband did a number of times with our friend David.

I have decided that I am going to set up a just giving page and we are asking for donations/sponsorship please. Please donate even £1 for a cause that is close to my heart.

To say that my Husband’s death has devastated my family would be a massive understatement. The effect it has had on me both mentally and physically has been so hard to bear. But also for our children, who are struggling to come to terms with the loss of their father. They are so young, unable to understand the lifelong grief that they will have to endure.

So I contacted the Laura Centre in Derby for their help with my children. This is a specialist centre to help children bereaved of their parents and parents bereaved of their children. They are helping Emily and Susie through counselling and play.

So I am doing this for my children. They are my motivation, my strength, my reason for living and carrying on through the hardest and darkest days of my life.
