Wild Futures' Monkey Sanctuary rescues monkeys from abuse and neglect in the primate pet trade (which is still legal in the UK!) Home to over 40 primates, they guarantee a home for life for all rescued monkeys as well as campaigning for better primate welfare and conservation.

Izzy is working there as an intern for a year, and during this crisis all the staff, paid and unpaid, are locked down at the Sanctuary or self isolating from family as there is some evidence that primates can be at risk from Covid 19. Like so many charities they are in need of a bit of extra help at the moment, due to being closed to visitors for the foreseeable future.

Izzy will celebrate her 25th birthday there in May, so in addition to making a donation for her birthday, I thought I'd try and help raise a little more money for them. I'm no Captain Tom, but will do my best to walk the 25 miles before the 24th May!
