Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So as you know we lost Sean on 4th January 2019 when he was wrongly shot while trying to leave a house being raided by the police. I for one have struggled immensely with this, and continue to struggle, because of the huge connection we had in life. When you share such a large part of your life with someone in terms of time and emotions, there’s no such thing as switching off your feelings for them, and I know that I’ll always love him. And I know I don’t share this pain alone.

I feel lost a lot of the time and am trying to find ways that we can remember Sean for the bright eyed and bubbly boy he was, and reimagine that smile that could melt the coldest of hearts - whilst all the time helping get justice for him. So I’ve decided to take part in the Rugby Half Marathon.

For anyone who knows me - they’ll know that I hate running, especially long distances, so I know that will already have brought a smile to Sean’s face. The half marathon takes place on Sunday 27th October which would’ve been his 32nd birthday - so I think it’s quite poignant that it falls on that day. I’m aiming to raise as much money as possible for ‘Inquest’ - the charity that has played a vital and fundamentally important role in helping the family, and will continue to do so until we find answers to a never ending list of questions about that day.

I hope you’ll dig deep and donate as much as you can to this cause and help get justice for our Seany.

Thank you in advance

Rach
