We support young people around the world to confront the planet's most urgent crises

Story

Join Raleigh staff, alumni and friends to sing Christmas carols at London's Trafalgar Square on 15 December from 7-8pm.

This Christmas, we're collecting funds for our wonderful 'Host Country Volunteers' - like Goodluck Noah from Tanzania. These young people are essential to inspire communities and create lasting change through their local knowledge and commitment. On expedition, they develop key skills and become young leaders with better employment prospects.

"I was adopted and became a Maasai warrior aged 16... I could not afford to go to university and decided to join a Raleigh Expedition to give my full potential to developing the community...

... The villagers of Shinyanga were involved at all stages. My best moment was when we were making rocket fuel stoves. These are better for the environment and save people the hours each day it takes to collect wood...

... Since our work talking to children in schools about sanitation I now want to be a teacher or lecturer. Overall, Raleigh has been a big help in my life, more than I ever expected."

For early birds, we are meeting at 5.30pm in The Lord Moon in the Mall, 14-16 Whitehall, SW1A 2DY. We also have an area reserved here after the carols. All are welcome.
