Story

The Hannah Memorial Academy is a primary school for under privileged children in a remote part of North East India and permanent memorial to the life of a young Southampton girl, Hannah Foster. The school is the vision of a local man, Jason Lepcha, who wanted to provide free education and a focal point for the local community in one of the poorest areas of Darjeeling.

To help Jason realise his dream and ensure the continuation of the school and vital services it provides to the local community, the Hannah Memorial Academy Charitable Trust was setup in 2008 by a group of UK based trustees.

The school was set up through the vision of Jason and will be my legacy. The website for the school is below to give you more information.
