My mother had Bowell Cancer around 1963. The Operation to save her left her a semi-invalid for the next 30 years. Thanks to the massive improvements in Detection, Procedures and Care, due in large part to Cancer Research, I had only a few weeks off work following my operation for the same and was even able to carry on through my 'Chemo' . The excellent follow up I have been receiving maximizes my chances of maintaining good health. Cancer Research UK is a Charity that's therefore very close to my heart and I am keen to raise as much as we possibly can for them.
