“We have a special role within the RSPCA as we are a cruelty case boarding centre. This means we care for dogs and cats removed by the Inspectorate from situations of cruelty, abuse and neglect. We care for and rehabilitate them whilst the legal processes against their owners go through court.  

This means we care for some very damaged animals, both emotionally and physically, and have the added challenge of meeting their welfare needs in a kennel and cattery environment for prolonged periods of time. Once animals are either signed over or we win their cases in court, they are usually transferred to other branches to find their forever homes. “
