Story

Inititally I was meant to compete but a late injury meant that my darling husband and Reedys daddy, Ryan has taken one for the team Berryman and completed the Great West Run raising much needed funds to support Honeylands Childrens centre's Musical Therapy programme and for our gorgeous 23 month old son who has intractable Epilepsy caused by a large area of Cortical Dysplasia in his left hemisphere and at the time of running Reedy is recovering from extensive brain surgery that will hopefully eliminate or reduce his daily epileptic seizures.
Epilepsy has pushed our family to breaking point on many occasions and music has been one thing that has provided us comfort, allowed us to join in all together and express ourselves. So we know the power and comfort that music therapy can bring whether formal or impromptu nursery rhyme session at home, laughing and singing together. We want to support Honeylands in ensuring that Music Therapy is available for all children and have good quality resources to ensure they can engage all the children in their care including our little Reedy.
