Story

This is my Everest...

If you know me-at all, you'll know I'm passionate (greedy) about food, especially meat. In an average month I probably consume a farm's worth of livestock (doing my bit for the farmers of this great nation). It's not been uncommon for a lunch hour to include McDonalds, Burger King and KFC visits all in the same sitting. I've even been know to partake in the odd Donner Kebab between work meatings. Pigs head, chicken hearts, raw steak, bone marrow and even sinew - I've indulged them all. Last year I attempted a vegetarian month, lasting four days eating cheese and eggs; these are off the table this time around. And this time, it's for charity!

Nothing scares me more than if something happened to my children. That's why my chosen charity, Caudwell Children, is so special to me because it transforms the lives of disabled children throughout the UK, providing support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disable children and their families. Just as importantly, 100% of donations go to the charity itself and not administration, wage costs or overheads.

This truly will be a meateoric challenge for me (especially as the likes of butternut squash, corgette, aubergine and mushrooms are against the fabric of my being...and are all yuk!) so please give generously if you can.

And if the wurst happens and I don't fulfil my commitment of a vegan April (bear in mind that Easter Sunday is in April so no chocolate!), I've agreed that a shaved head will be my forfeit; the only thing I fear more than a world without meat or cheese...
