Starting at the end of January 2019 and for every month of 2019 I will run a half marathon per month. However, in October 2019 I plan to run a marathon instead of the half marathon. Due to pregnancy complications our youngest daughter, Beatrix arrived almost 3 months early. In total she spent 19 days in intensive care, 40 days on the high dependency unit and 7 days in special care at the Neonatal unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The team on the unit we’re just outstanding. SSNAP are a charity that provide amazing support to the unit. All funds that go to SSNAP will help other families like ours during what is a very stressful time in any family’s life. Funds to SSNAP will also help to fund research to further improve care for other babies like Beatrix who are either born too early or too sick to go straight home with their families.
