Story
My father, Mike, died suddenly at home at the beginning of July. He was 74.
He had two careers. First a lengthy one with the Metropolitan Police, and in retirement as a full time carer for my mum until she passed away five years ago.
He served 36 years with the Metropolitan Police from 1963 to 1999, finishing his career in Scotland Yard's C1/SO1 branch.
If you would like to make a donation in his memory, we have chosen the Police Dependants' Trust for the fine work they do supporting police officers and their families, in the event of that officer being killed or seriously incapacitated while on duty.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
