Story
There are two very personal reasons for attempting this challenge, first and foremost my main inspiration is Annabel. Annabel is 3 years old and the daughter of a very close friend. Annabel has an illness that effects the energy her cells produce (a mitochondrial condition known as DARS2). This illness is progressive and will be life limiting. From being a normal little girl at 2 years old she now cannot walk without her frame. Too quickly this deterioration will progress. The money raised will help The Lily foundation support research into this rare condition and help children like Annabel and her family.
Secondly I would like to raise awareness of Guillian-Barre Syndrome, just over 3 years ago this life threatening condition left me with severe paralysis of the whole body. After 18 months and a combination of hospitalisation, rehabilitation and physiotherapy I was able to walk unaided. 4 weeks ago I started to crawl/jog/nearly run for the first time in 3 years and entered Tough Mudder! I am determined to complete Tough Mudder under whatever circumstances. I will cross the finish line for Annabel and also for Seth & Harry my son's, to show them that you can achieve anything in life if you are determined enough.So please any support you can give will help.
