My name is Richard Harris and I work for Age UK Brighton & Hove. I have been with them for 5 years now and for 18 months I worked for Crisis Care. This service is under high demand and is a really vital service for people who are over 50 years of age and it’s also free. It provides practical and personal care support to very vulnerable people who need help in the Brighton & Hove area. This can include things like washing, dressing, medication prompts and emergency shopping. We take referrals from hospitals to free-up beds, Doctors and self-referrals to name a few. Crisis Care is very close to my heart as they took care of my Father who became ill from several falls. We have a team of 12 wonderful carers. I really want to fund-raise for Age UK Brighton & Hove  by attempting the ‘Three Peaks challenge’. My aim will be to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdonia in 24 hours. There will be 2 of us doing the climbs and we will have a car driver going from mountain to mountain. I have never climbed any of these mountains before. All monies raised by Brian and myself will go to Age UK Brighton & Hove.
