Sailing The Atlantic

Follow our Atlantic crossing on yacht Maunie of Ardwell at http://www.worldcruising.com/arc/ - Race start date 25th November.
My brother Will died 12 months ago from Pancreatic Cancer, and there is not a day that goes by that I don't wish he could be with us and in particularly with Liz, Sam Jake and Jo right now.
Will was so very fortunate in so many ways in his life, he had a beautiful family, amazing friends and was just the most stunning man. However, with pancreatic cancer being such a very deadly disease, the odds were always stacked against him and his doctors.
Its 12 months on, and I will be sailing in The ARC, which is a yacht race from Gran Canaria to St Lucia, with a little bit of water inbetween called The Atlantic. It will be Wills 50th birthday when we will be well on our way, and I would therefore like to ask for your support in raising funds for the work being carried out at the UCLH Research Institute to develop new forms of treatment for this deadly disease and who looked after him to stunningly well throughout his illness.
Will's oncologist Professor Daniel Hochhauser runs this research programme, there are no administration costs to be deducted from donations, and Daniel will consult with Liz and Will's family on exactly how the final sum raised can be used most effectively. It is a very precise and personal cause for the whole family and one which we dearly hope may help change the likely outcome for others faced with this terrible diagnosis.
Thank-you for your support and you can follow me, should you wish on our travels at http://www.worldcruising.com/arc/ . Our beautiful 38ft yacht is called Maunie of Ardwell, and the race starts on the 25th November. Thank you for all your support for my brother. Richard x :-)
