Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Claire selflessly postponed her ideal, four week train touring holiday through the ten great cities of Italy and instead has agreed to accompany me on a two week cycle tour through 234 minor towns and villages in England, Wales and Scotland, from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

For my part I cycled 70 to 90 miles each day, covering the 972 mile plus route in 13 days.  Claire, on the other hand, drove each day, finding antiques shops and clothes shops along the way.  She had to find us some where to live, pitch and strike camp, buy provisions, locate vegan friendly restaurants, maintain a record and diary of the journey and as we wended our way through the highlands of Scotland found interesting things to do all day with only grouse and the windswept scenery for company.

An important part of our holiday was to raise money for a very worthy cause – the National Association for People Abused in Childhood.  This is where you can help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to NAPAC and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation.

So please dig deep and donate now.  If not for me then for Claire.
