Story
For those who do not know me, running the London Marathon in April 2016 will be my hardest challenge I have ever faced. I am starting my training 6 months prior as this is something I want to achieve, not only to raise lots of money for Alzheimer's Society but as a personal achievement as well
The reason I have chosen Alzheimer's Society is when I was 16 I used to work in a care home as a catering assistant, this care home had residents who had Alzheimer's and Dementia and I had never realised how hard the disease not only affects the individual but more importantly the friends and families surrounding them. Imagine being married to someone for 40 years and the in an instance they forget who you are? It was something I could never get my head around. I am hoping my fundraising will help the research into curing Alzheimers and Dementia and also to help their loved ones.
Any donations are very much gracefully appreciated.
Thank you
