This year I'll be running the London Marathon for the Childhood
Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT). Over the last 10 years at Vision Express, I have
seen first-hand the incredible work this charity do supporting survivors
of Retinoblastoma (Rb). 

It’s
an incredibly heart-warming, dedicated and hardworking charity that
provide an essential platform for children and families affected by this
disease. I’ve been lucky enough to meet some of them at various events
over the years, including their member weekends and Ride4Sight. The
dedication to the cause and willingness to participate shown by all has
been inspiring to say the least.

The
London Marathon is one of the most iconic races in the World and an event
that is very close to my heart. My Dad did his first marathon there in
1992 and has since gone on to complete over 100 marathons, including 23 at
London. He is one of my heroes and it’s always been an aim to follow in
his footsteps.

This will be my third marathon and my target is to finish under
the magical 3 hour mark!
