Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be cycling along the canals from Chester, where I did my MA, to Leeds, where I did my BA, for two reasons. One being my niece, Sadie Elizabeth, who will be 5 in December and has Partial Migrating Epilepsy. The other being in memory of my friend Carla Rankin, who we sadly lost this year to epilepsy aged just 27.

Carla was a fellow Cestrian whom I met whilst we were living and studying in Leeds. She never failed to help those in any trouble - despite troubles of her own - and always with a smile. A genuine heroine, deserving of a lasting legacy, fond memories, and a personalized tribute.

Sadie is a fun and giggly little girl. Your face makes her smile - especially if you have a beard she can play with. She loves to play with her big sister Sofia and all of her cousins. Her spirit continues to make us all proud of her every day...
