Story
My challenge for this year is the Thames Towpath 100 mile
ultra marathon. Again I want to raise money for THHN, Torbay Holiday Helpers Network.
THHN is a network of local businesses that together offer families, with children or parents who are seriously ill or have suffered bereavement, a chance to have a memory making holiday.
I have become more actively involved with THHN over the last 12 months and have seen first-hand the difference a week away from hospitals and treatments can make to these families. I have had the privilege to meet some of the families whilst they staying at the Devon Hills lodge or the Finlake caravan. Meeting these brave families is a very humbling experience.
To be honest I don’t believe that the magnitude of the challenge is important. It’s the generosity of supporters that makes the difference. So whether it’s a 5k or 100 miles the aim is the same, to raise as much as possible to enable THHN to provide as many holidays as possible in the future. If you feel able to make a donation please follow the link to my Just Giving page.
