In memory of David Smithies
We raise awareness and funds to save lives and help people with cancer

Story

David Smithies, a true star and a great friend. Dave tragically lost his life in a car accident in 2006 at the tender age of 17. To show how much he meant to us and how much we miss the bloke, myself, Sion Lloyd and Dafydd Meirion Jones are going to endure the 3 peaks challenge. We would be very grateful for sponsors as we will be raising money for the David Smithies fun day’s chosen charity, the John Hartson Foundation.

The national 3 Peaks Challenge is to be completed within 24 hours and consists of the gruelling hikes up the mountains of Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England) and Snowdon (Wales)! It’s a difficult challenge, but one that would be a superb way to celebrate David’s life. Dave was always having a laugh, but one thing for sure - this challenge won’t produce a single chuckle!

Dave’s legacy has already raised thousands of pounds for various charities over the years, thanks to the hard work his family put in, in organising the David Smithies Fun Day every summer. The John Hartson Foundation is a charity who increase awareness of testicular cancer and raise money to support those affected by cancer.

So please dig deep and give a donation today.
