We work with abandoned dogs in Romania to save them from cruelty & persecution.

Story

We will walk the WHW in three days in May 2022 - a total distance of 96 miles - to fundraise for Barking Mad Dog Rescue, a charity working with a hands on team in Romania, running their own shelter for 350 rescued dogs in Constanta, 135 dogs in we found in a private home and more than 100 dogs in a privately owned shelter in Calarasi. In BMDR’s shelters, abandoned and neglected dogs find safe haven from some of the most unimaginable abuse. The charity also buys food monthly for two other private shelters. This is alongside a dedicated UK team of volunteers who facilitate adoptions. Their dogs need your help for this vital, life saving work to continue. Thank you

About the charity

Barking Mad Dog Rescue is a UK based charity set up to provide food, veterinary support and care for abandoned dogs in Romania before finding them suitable homes. With several hundred dogs to feed on a daily basis and dogs needing veterinary attention, fundraising is ongoing and essential.
